  1. The link has gone from the main page(2:48AM) but is still reachable thru other pages, just reached here after clicking Classifieds.
  2. By pruning you get rid of old and obsolete threads/posts. Appointing moderators(knowledgeable in their field of expertise) will ensure prompt and accurate replies. There by their own active participation and greater user satisfaction. The cycle once started will ensure better statistics once it gets going. Something similar to stuff Torrent movie sites do in short. Moderators will also ensure that useless comments like HaHaHa! and Loooools! get removed to keep the thread more relevant and precise. I guess no harm in trying before you decide to close it altogether.
  3. I love steamed Momo's too, for now I only get to eat it at Sakura on special order. Can you please share the name of Nepalese restaurant, will give them a try.
  4. Instead of shutting it down completely, I suggest close down and prune the obsolete threads. Also, you may think of appointing forum moderators. It will increase the participation and lessen your burden too.
  5. Superm! You will simply need to replace the ADSL router with LTE router. The bigger one comes with 4 LAN ports, don't buy the pocket router as that will have only 1 LAN port. I would suggest buy it from market(Unlocked), this way you will be able to switch between the providers in case you need to. Edit:Big LTE router will support 32 wifi devices + 4 LAN
  6. Any news on Infoconnect 2017? Last year it did not happen, I hope they make it this year. ADSL still sux, any new areas with FTTH added on Kuwait map? Feel free to express your expectations on ISPs front. Rest is all Printers, Monitors and computer hardware.
  7. I know and saw that, was wondering why it is not on your "Events" list. Anyone with any more Info on Info-connect ... Seriously?!! Are they going to announce it in News-paper?!!
  8. I think both parties ... caller and receiver need to be on VoLTE for HD calls to happen.
  9. Try out "Open Signal" app on your phone, find out which is the closest cell tower to your place. Then try out that company sim, it worked for me, hope it does for you too! https://opensignal.com/

  11. Weekends the speed and latency are generally pathetic.
  12. Read the thread heading/topic, it is about latency.
  13. Just use thinner or nail polish remover. Lube is a no! no! when cleaning electrical contacts ... heavier hydro-carbons. Lower the better, more like methanol or ethanol or ethyl-methyl, even petrol will do.

  15. Wonderful! Graduating from 2Mbps ADSL, I found 2-3MBps really awsum on Zain till I tried 6-7MBps on Viva. http://i.imgur.com/vEcdBdj.jpg?1 *Note: 1MBps=12Mbps And it keeps on surprising me all the time. http://i.imgur.com/dNAmktN.jpg
  16. All three ... Zain, Viva and Ooredoo. Try all three before deciding which works best for you. Zain ... eeZee internet. Also, under pre-paid internet(data Sim) Viva ... See under pre-paid while on internet. Ooredoo ... Try for a month without commitment.
  17. You might be blessed with fibre, rest of Kuwait can't even peak 2Mbps. I finally ditched my ADSL and land line too. I suggested him a Pre-paid package till he figures out his usage pattern and believe me I even hit 7.5MB/s=90Mbps while using it.
  18. Forget it! And loose your landline connection too. Use Viva 5KD=250GB internet (*4KD for renewal) before you finally decide what exactly is your usage pattern. 2Mbps will cost you about 60KD plus the phone bill 30KD, can't make it more simpler. *5KD 250GB see it under pre-paid internet.
  19. My friend, you just bumped an year old thread.
  20. It’s been a while now since that old office IT myth – that is, that any suite different from Microsoft is more complicated and incompatible with your docs – collapsed under its own weight. Nothing could be further from the truth. After a surprise overtake of OpenOffice, LibreOffice has become the best freeware alternative when it comes to having an all-in-one for document management. Its new version 5.1 adds interesting changes and add-ons that refine all these concepts. Improvements to the user interface: One of the aspects where LibreOffice has always been slack is in its user interface, especially the upper toolbar. In an attempt to fix this problem, the menus have been redesigned and modified for each of the suite elements: Style, Sheet, and Slide. Interoperativity: The other task that’s been pending for a while is more than approved by us. The third-party file-reading format has been improved, as has extension detection when reproducing the files. New spreadsheet functions: Lots of minor fixes, among which stands the option, long-awaiting by Microsoft Office expats, to insert rows or columns from the table’s own context menu. Access to remote services: Working with documents directly from the cloud is a very common practice. Thus the interaction with these types of documents has been improved to be able to open them directly without going through intermediary access windows. Now Google Drive is there as one more of your local units. Official download page
  21. You are blessed with "Fibre" help will be around. Inshallah! I just know you don't have to say it.
